How does microneedle RF radiofrequency work?

Microneedle radiofrequency RF involves piercing the skin with thin needles and simultaneously heating it with radio waves. The needles used in radiofrequency also act as microelectrodes that transmit radio waves deep into the tissue.

In this way, the skin is heated to a temperature of 42-60 ^o C , and the collagen fibers are shrunk. Simultaneous puncturing of the tissue and its heating damages the treated skin and causes a controlled inflammation. The procedure triggers intensive skin regeneration processes and its multidimensional reconstruction. In the treated area, young and firm skin is created. Radio waves accelerate and strengthen the self-regenerative properties of the dermis, and the rebuilt collagen fibers smooth the skin, firm it and make it more elastic.

Microneedle radiofrequency RF works on deep layers of the skin, inducing their regeneration. It can be used on both the face and body. It reduces wrinkles, removes scars and stretch marks, improves skin density and firmness. It is recommended for revitalizing and rejuvenating treatments.

How does fractional RF radiofrequency work?

Fractional radiofrequency is a non-invasive procedure. Unlike microneedle radiofrequency, this procedure does not interrupt the continuity of tissues. There are no needles or punctures. Regenerative processes are triggered by a radio wave that heats the dermis, improves metabolism and microcirculation, and stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen fibers.

Fractional radiofrequency RF is recommended for people who have contraindications to needle procedures (diabetics, people prone to scarring, people who have problems with healing). Fractional radiofrequency RF is the best alternative to needle radiofrequency procedures.

Medofrax is the latest generation of microneedle RF radiofrequency equipped with a Vaccum function . The device uses microneedling and radio wave technology. This allows for microneedle and needle-free – fractional treatments. The device is equipped with an innovative RF module made in the USA, which is unimaginably efficient. At 50W, it emits a radio wave comparable to devices equipped with 150W . Thanks to its use , Medofrax is more efficient, and treatments using it are safer and more effective.

Medofrax is equipped with light and slim heads. The device uses an innovative system of connecting the cartridge with the head (no protruding, inconvenient hose!). The lightness of the heads, their shape and the lack of a hose make it easier to work with the device and precise application. Even long-term work with the device does not strain the hand.

Medofrax allows you to work in monopolar and bipolar modes – it is suitable for both facial and full-body treatments. It is equipped with a separate cooling head with super-efficient, three-stage cooling, which allows for rapid cooling of the tissue after the treatment and accelerates the healing process.

The modern device control system allows for automatic, mechanical (pedal) and pressure-sensitive (head) application.

Microneedle cartridges

Medofrax is equipped with ultra-thin needles with a diameter of 0.2 mm . It allows for their precise insertion to a depth selected through parameters. The penetration range can be adjusted from 0.4 to as much as 4 mm . The needles are additionally microelectrodes for radio waves. The device is equipped with Vaccum technology , which allows for even and precise insertion of needles even on sagging skin and on hard-to-reach parts of the body (face, neck, décolleté). Medofrax has a wide selection of cartridges and the ability to adjust parameters.

In Medofrax, the RF microneedle radiofrequency cartridges are equipped with ultra-thin 0.2 mm needles . You can choose between gold-insulated or non-insulated needles and four different-sized cartridges. Disposable and sterile cartridges are equipped with 18, 25, 49 or 81 needles .

Insulated needles are covered with gold on most of their surfaces. Gold does not transmit radio waves. Thanks to such insulation, radio waves do not heat the skin along the entire length of the needle, only at the uninsulated tip of the needle. RF then works exactly where we want to apply it – at the depth indicated by parameters. Insulated needles are less invasive, and post-treatment recovery is much faster.

Non-insulated needles emit radio waves along their entire length. They damage tissue and cause more inflammation. As a result, the recovery period after the procedure is longer than in the case of insulated needles.

Cartridges for non-invasive procedures (RF fractional radiofrequency) are terminated with pins (protrusions) through which a radio wave flows. Medofrax can be equipped with three different sizes of cartridges of this type. You can choose from cartridges of sizes 3×3, 5×5 and 9×9.

Monopolar and bipolar operating modes

Bipolar mode

Medofrax allows you to work in bipolar mode. During this mode, 50% of the needle is positively charged, and the remaining 50% is negative polarity. This makes the radio wave work only at the depth of the needle. It does not penetrate deep into the tissue. Therefore, this mode is more suitable for facial treatments.

Monopolar mode

During monopolar mode, the needles are positively charged. The client holds a so-called passive electrode in their hand, which acts as a negative charge. Thanks to this, the radio wave penetrates the entire body and allows for care treatments on deep parts of the body.
